Connecting to Existing Systems

Description
Property owners that wish to connect to an existing septic system must visit the WCSC office and make application for permission.

If you pass inspection, a "deemed adequate" letter will be furnished and this is used in lieu of a septic permit for obtaining your building permit from your municipality.

Note: The "deemed adequate" situation is only referring to the part of the existing system that is exposed and in no way guarantees that the entire existing system is adequate.

Qualifying Questions
You must answer "yes" to all of the following questions in order to apply for permission to connect to an existing system:

  1. Are you building a new structure on your property and want to connect to an existing on-lot septic sewage system?

  2. Will the new building produce the same or less sewage flows than the previously existing building?
