Designer Requirements

 

 
Sewage Septic System Design Requirements

All on-lot sewage disposal system designs submitted to the WCSC shall include, but not limited to, the following information:

  1. The designer must stake out the absorption area on contour at the site.

  2. If it is a sand mound, the designer must stake out the aggregate, the tow of sand and the toe of berm. (Includes 12 flags)

  3. Type, size and grade of all piping system including building sewer.  

  4. Furnish all dimensions and size of septic tank including depth of liquid and flag the tank location.

  5. Specify effluent pump by brand and model number.  Include pump curve with design spec. plotted on curve.  Include electrical specs.  of pump motor and type, length and size of electric service to pump motor. *

  6. Show all hydraulic calculations using discharge rates, volumes, friction loss and equivalent lengths as shown in the SEO Technical Manual. *

  7. Show pump on and pump off distances. *  

  8. Supply all dimensions of dosing tank. *

  9. Plan view to scale of system including isolation distances, building location and stakes set at site and justify to a landmark in feet and direction.

  10. Cross section to scale of system including building sewer.  Show width of absorption area to sand toe and sand toe to berm toe along the slope of the ground on elevated sand mound systems. 

  11. Narrative of construction schedule and other specification.

  12. Designer name, address and phone number with clients name, site location with name of municipality and SEO on cover page.

  13. Copy of the site investigation sheet.
