Before you call or come to
the WCSC office, make sure you have directions to
your property available. These directions will be
put on your Dye Test application and will be used by the
Sewage Enforcement Officer (SEO) to get to your
property.

Come to the Washington County Sewage Council
(WCSC) office and make application for the Dye
Test. Note: For Dye Tests only, we allow you to
call the WCSC office instead of applying in
person. If you call your request in, we will not
assign an SEO until we receive your fee
in the mail.

Once your payment is received, a Sewage
Enforcement Officer (SEO)
will be assigned to your Dye Test application. |

The SEO will call the contact
person you specify on your application to make an
appointment to do the Dye Test. |

The SEO will conduct the dye test
and will determine if the existing on-lot sewage septic
system passes or fails the test. |

The SEO will notify the property
owner whether the system passed or failed the dye test. |

If the system passes, no further action is
required by the property owner.
If the system fails, the property owner must move
forward with fixing the existing malfunction. |
