Description
The purpose of a visual inspection is to determine if there is
any seepage or discharge to the surface of an on-lot sewage septic system.
As opposed to using a dye test, this is done by a Sewage
Enforcement Officer (SEO) by walking the property and
visually identifying if there is any seepage or discharge.
This
inspection is also used to verify that there is no obvious
malfunction on a residual property with an existing system
when completing the components for a planning module that is
submitted to the PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
